our mission
Hawthorne Lane Preschool is a through the week children’s ministry at Hawthorne Lane United Methodist Church. The purpose of this program is to provide a safe, Christian learning environment where preschool children learn about God’s world and God’s love through teaching and hands-on experience.
general information
School Hours & Calendar: The Preschool hours are 9:00am – 1:00pm. We follow some of Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools major holidays and breaks. We do not follow all of the CMS teacher workdays.
Lunches/Snacks: Children are to bring a lunch and snack everyday from home. We are a NUT FREE ZONE (no peanuts and/or tree nuts allowed). We will be sensitive to all other allergies on a class by class basis.
Immunizations: Children’s immunization records are due at the beginning of the school year.
Scholarships: Scholarships applications are available for children enrolled in the Threes, Fours or TK classes. For more information, please contact the preschool director.

Hawthorne Lane is a Safe Sanctuaries Church. Out of our commitment to the safety of all children in our care, our church follows a comprehensive program of safety for children in our facility. Safe Sanctuary procedures include background checks of all staff, personnel and volunteers, supervision policies and safety precautions in the facility. Copies of the full Safe Sanctuary Policy are available upon request.
