If you watch HGTV, you know the lingo for home buyers. Open floor-plans, walk-in closets, spacious lots, and good school districts are top priorities. Rarely do you see a prospective home buyer ask about the neighborhood. They forget to ask, “who lives here?” or “can we meet the neighbors?”. Are these not important things for us to consider?
When Jesus was asked “who is my neighbor?”, instead of answering the question, he told a story. The story involved people of different religions and ethnicities caring for one another in the midst of overwhelming differences. Who do you consider your neighbor to be? Who would you allow to be your neighbor in times of need.
