Pot Sundays

What on earth is a Pot Sunday?! No – our church is not “that kind” of crazy. We just love being creative. We take up a monthly mission offering (in addition to our regular giving) to support local and abroad ministries. And we take up the money in a giant SOUP POT! We usually do it at the beginning of worship during the opening hymn. We’ll tell about the mission that day and then during the singing people wander out of their seats and bring dollars and checks down to the pot. It’s fun AND we get to support many of the great missions around that we couldn’t feasibly recreate ourselves within our church. Below is a list of the missions for 2018. ***Also note that since many of us rarely carry cash or a checkbook anymore we have the option to give through text. You can still do it right at the same time so its just the same as putting it in the pot. Text “Pot Offering” to 84321.
